The Benefits

of Spirulina

A magical micro-algae

What is Spirulina?

Spirulina is a microalgae superfood with incredible benefits for both humans and animals. Like other blue-green microalgae, spirulina is a  microscopic plant that grows in freshwater. Spirulina has more protein than meat, fish, poultry, soybeans and contains all eight essential amino acids. It is also rich in iron, vitamins A, E, and B, potassium, enzymes, minerals, phytonutrients, and beneficial fatty acids like DHA and GLA.

Sustainable Farming

Beyond its health benefits, Spirulina farming is also great for the environment. Algae can derive their nutrients from waste water and air pollution. This can help control global warming as the algae pulls toxins from the air and water, making our environment cleaner and safer than before.

Consume Spirulina

A fresh green start

No matter what your eating habits may be, Spirulina can be easily introduced into your everyday diet. A small daily dose of  4-6 grams (0.14- 0.2 oz) is all you need. Though spirulina is most nutritious when eaten raw, it can also be taken in a powdered tablet or as an added ingredient to a variety of healthy snacks!
